Educational Opportunities

Opportunities with Charity Baptist Educational Development Ministries

The Charity Baptist Academy was the first Christian school in the Gulf Province of Papua New Guinea and has been in operation for over 16 years.  CBA offers the best education at the best price anywhere in the Gulf Province—both to national PNG students and to missionary children who visit Kerema.  Former students and graduates of CBA have excelled due to high academic standards and self-discipline.  To God be the glory—great things He has done!

Opportunities abound for missions-minded educators of all ages and degrees of experience.  Through the Charity Baptist Educational Development Ministries, you can come for a short-term or long-term visit!  Teach children to read, young people to make wise choices, other teachers to use phonics for reading instruction, or adults to speak and read English.  Complete your teaching internship on the mission field; begin your career as a teacher in a well-established Christian school; or answer God’s call to missions through unique educational opportunities in Papua New Guinea.

Perhaps your family would even be interested in helping to start a brand-new mission school in another town or village!  A new school will soon be opening in a government station to the east of Kerema.  Charity Baptist Academy of Malalaua needs dedicated teachers with training and experience to help us start well.  We hope to begin with the learning-to-read program in 2017 and to add one class each year thereafter.  Whether you are a teacher, principal, or administrator, ask God how He can use YOU to make a difference in the lives of young people all over the world.  Why not Kerema, PNG?

Our desire is to assist families in raising up a generation of young people who can stand on a solid educational foundation while giving honor to God.  Our priority, through godly influence, is to equip the next generation to fulfill their purpose in life—to glorify God.  Thus, an enhanced Bible-based curriculum, and the practice of godly principles, will lead to a performance of proper conduct, moral behavior, and Christian character.

The A.C.E. curriculum used at CBA is adapted to meet PNG educational requirements; and it challenges students both academically and spiritually.  Children receive training in phonics, numbers, and character from the time they begin school.  Later they add science, social studies, English grammar, spelling, mathematics, and more to their education.  Throughout the program, students memorize Scripture and learn biblical principles to help them daily grow more like Jesus Christ.

dsc_0596Our skilled staff lovingly mentor students, disciplining them as needed and instructing them in the ways of the Lord.  Daily Bible classes and much prayer are foundational to training our students to be good citizens and good Christians.  Regardless of the churches their families attend, CBA students receive a strong biblical foundation for their own belief and practice.

Our desire is to focus on God!  Our passion is to create a positive Christian environment, allowing our young people to excel and to stand strong both academically and spiritually, and to produce a deeper growth in their relationship with Christ.  We trust that this continual raising of academic standards and spiritual development will result in a greater impact upon our community for Christ.

CBEDM needs teachers who love God and desire to serve Him wholeheartedly.  Will YOU answer the call to teach at a mission school in Papua New Guinea?  Please contact us if you are interested in applying for this exciting educational ministry in the Gulf Province of PNG!
